# Resize an image to 2:3 aspect ratio.

Drop your photos and download them in the 2:3 aspect ratio. Each photo keeps all its pixels at their own size; padding is added on the short side until the shape is 2:3, so nothing is cropped, enlarged or reduced. It runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

## From a phone photo to 2:3.

Common 12-megapixel phone photo shapes brought to 2:3: the size of the downloaded file and the padding added on each side (↔ left + right, ↕ top + bottom). The photo keeps its own pixels, so the output size follows the photo. The tool above uses the same calculation.

| Phone photo | Output size | Padding |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 4,032 × 3,024 · 4:3 | 4,032 × 6,048 px | ↕ 1,512 + 1,512 px |
| 3,024 × 4,032 · 3:4 | 3,024 × 4,536 px | ↕ 252 + 252 px |
| 4,032 × 2,268 · 16:9 | 4,032 × 6,048 px | ↕ 1,890 + 1,890 px |
| 2,268 × 4,032 · 9:16 | 2,688 × 4,032 px | ↔ 210 + 210 px |
| 3,024 × 3,024 · 1:1 | 3,024 × 4,536 px | ↕ 756 + 756 px |

## 2:3, answered.

**Which platforms ask for the 2:3 aspect ratio?**

Wix, Ecwid, Pinterest, LinkedIn ads, SHOPLINE, eMAG, and Weebly. The table on this page gives each rule in full and links to the platform's guide.

**What size is the image after resizing to 2:3?**

It depends on the photo: its pixels stay and padding is added until the shape is 2:3. A 4,032 × 3,024 px phone photo becomes 4,032 × 6,048 px, with 1,512 px of padding at the top and 1,512 px at the bottom.

**Is the photo scaled or cropped when resizing to 2:3?**

Neither. The photo keeps every pixel at its original size and the padding colour fills the added area, so the whole product stays in frame and a small photo is not blurred by enlarging.
