# Resize an image to 3:4 aspect ratio.

Drop your photos and download them in the 3:4 aspect ratio. Each photo keeps all its pixels at their own size; padding is added on the short side until the shape is 3:4, so nothing is cropped, enlarged or reduced. It runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

## From a phone photo to 3:4.

Common 12-megapixel phone photo shapes brought to 3:4: the size of the downloaded file and the padding added on each side (↔ left + right, ↕ top + bottom). The photo keeps its own pixels, so the output size follows the photo. The tool above uses the same calculation.

| Phone photo | Output size | Padding |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 4,032 × 3,024 · 4:3 | 4,032 × 5,376 px | ↕ 1,176 + 1,176 px |
| 3,024 × 4,032 · 3:4 | 3,024 × 4,032 px | — |
| 4,032 × 2,268 · 16:9 | 4,032 × 5,376 px | ↕ 1,554 + 1,554 px |
| 2,268 × 4,032 · 9:16 | 3,024 × 4,032 px | ↔ 378 + 378 px |
| 3,024 × 3,024 · 1:1 | 3,024 × 4,032 px | ↕ 504 + 504 px |

## 3:4, answered.

**Which platforms ask for the 3:4 aspect ratio?**

ABOUT YOU, Faire, Wix, Ecwid, Temu, Reddit Ads, SHEIN, AliExpress, and Weebly. The table on this page gives each rule in full and links to the platform's guide.

**What size is the image after resizing to 3:4?**

It depends on the photo: its pixels stay and padding is added until the shape is 3:4. A 4,032 × 3,024 px phone photo becomes 4,032 × 5,376 px, with 1,176 px of padding at the top and 1,176 px at the bottom.

**Is the photo scaled or cropped when resizing to 3:4?**

Neither. The photo keeps every pixel at its original size and the padding colour fills the added area, so the whole product stays in frame and a small photo is not blurred by enlarging.
